Dear Friends,

Through the hard work of people like you, we put together a campaign of which we can all be proud.  We focused on issues and we focused on the future of our schools. But in this mid-summer special election, we fell short.  We wish our best to Marc Williams as he completes the remaining months of Claire Eberwein's term.  And we commend Elynn and Bernie for their willingness to serve on our School Board.

We're proud that progressives like Jim Moran, Kerry Donley, and Adam Ebbin stepped forward to publicly support our campaign. Their commitment to education and leadership on education issues at the federal, state, and local levels will continue to serve our community well.

We're also proud of the broad support we received from former School Board members and other leaders in our community. At every community meeting and on every doorstep I tried to live up to the appropriately high expectations for a candidate endorsed by Ferdinand Day and our teachers, among others.

Our campaign wouldn't have been possible without the assistance of supporters like you.  Thank you again for all your help.  Maureen and I hope you enjoy the rest of your summer and we look forward to talking with you soon.
